DENVER (January 21, 2026)— MAKfam announces a special Lunar New Year collaboration dinner with Tsingtao on Wednesday, February 18, from 5 to 9 p.m. This exclusive, reservation-only event (39 W 1st Ave, Denver, CO 80223) will feature a curated menu showcasing innovative dishes that incorporate Tsingtao beer, specialty cocktails, and festive surprises to welcome the Year of the Horse.

The evening's menu will highlight creative culinary collaborations including Tsingtao Pork Belly Ssam and Tsingtao beer-battered málà string beans, as well as larger format items like a whole lobster and XO Garlic and Butter Steak available for pre-order, alongside Tsingtao-inspired cocktails and beverage specials.

In the spirit of Lunar New Year tradition, all guests will receive red envelopes containing a variety of gifts as well as Tsingtao swag. A few lucky diners will discover Golden Tickets worth up to $100 off their next MAKfam visit.

"The Year of the Snake was all about transformation and shedding old layers," says MAKfam Co-Owner Doris Yuen. "As we step into the Year of the Horse, we're embracing forward momentum and making bold choices. We have many exciting developments on the horizon for MAKfam, and this Lunar New Year celebration with our partners at Tsingtao is the perfect way to kick things off."

Reservations are required via OpenTable for this table-service event and will open on Monday, February 2 at 10 a.m. MT. Given the intimate nature of this celebration, the event is expected to sell out quickly. Guests are encouraged to follow @MAKfam on social media or visit their website to secure their reservations as soon as they become available.

About MAKfam
MAKfam represents the essence of America’s new Asian culinary movement by reimagining tradition-inspired Chinese and Cantonese recipes through a modern perspective. Husband and wife team, Chef Kenneth Wan (2024 James Beard Emerging Chef Semifinalist and 2025 and 2026 James Beard Best Chef Semi Finalist) and Doris Yuen, first got their start through a series of street market-style pop-ups in Jersey City, NJ, and Queens, NYC before opening in Denver’s Avanti Food and Beverage in 2019 as Meta Asian Kitchen. Now MAKfam, which retained their Bib Gourmand designation from MICHELIN Guide in 2025, aims to redefine the limitations of Asian fare with contemporary dishes like their málà mozzarella sticks and Spicy garlic butter rice cakes, while also paying homage to their traditional roots with classics like chicken congee, wonton soups, and beef stir-fry noodles with their brick and mortar under the rebranded MAKfam moniker in Denver’s vibrant Baker neighborhood.
