Colorado Pint Day on April 29 Toasts Colorado’s 150th and American’s 250th
DENVER (February 2, 2026)— The Colorado Brewers Guild (CBG), a nonprofit trade organization for independent craft breweries in the State of Craft Beer, announces the return of Colorado Pint Day on Wednesday, April 29. The annual event has become a must-attend occasion for Colorado's craft beer community, with enthusiasts lining up at participating member breweries statewide to secure their limited edition collectible glass.
The beloved fundraiser supports local craft breweries and is strategically held on a Wednesday during a typically slower season for breweries. For each pint glass sold, $1 is donated to the Colorado Brewers Guild to support the nonprofit trade association's mission of promoting, protecting, and propelling its members through advocacy, education, and public awareness.
For the past five years, the CBG has hosted an art competition for beer-loving local creatives to design the collectible glassware. This year's winning design goes to Doodle Artist Joe Palec, whose artwork celebrates a double milestone: Colorado's 150th birthday and the United States' 250th birthday.
"Winning the Pint Day Artist of the Year is a dream. It is an excellent opportunity to mix my two loves—art and beer," said Palec. "Being one amongst the many talented people that share this same honor will be something I cherish and look back on for years to come. I can not wait to cross that finish line when I am sipping an ice cold beer from a pint glass of my design."
Palec, originally from Brew City in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, has called Denver home for the past 15 years. He has integrated himself into the Mile High art scene with his "extreme doodles" on murals, packaging, products, as well as immersive galleries, clothing boutiques, and more. His friends at Renegade Brewery suggested he enter the CBG's art competition.
To design the glass, Palec drew upon a birthday party inspiration that had a prehistoric, campy, hoppy, and uniquely Colorado style. He playfully added dinosaurs, incorporating these Jurassic friends into a classic Rocky Mountain scene.
Palec added, "The whole idea of this piece was to look spectacular on a pint glass but also to entertain. Much like the back of a cereal box, I want patrons to look and discover the many different elements on their glass as they belly up to the bar."
