Denver’s premier tiki destination transforms into a haunted oasis for month-long Halloween takeover

DENVER (September 17, 2025)— Adrift Tiki Bar is trading palm trees for pumpkins this fall with the launch of "Nightmare in Paradise," a spine-tingling Halloween takeover running from September 30 through November 1. For an entire month, Denver's beloved tropical escape will transform into the ultimate destination for Halloween enthusiasts, featuring ghoulish decorations, a Creepy Cocktail menu, and a lineup of bewitching events that blend island vibes with Halloween magic.

"We're excited to give our signature tiki experience a deliciously dark twist," says Peaches Ayers, Chef and General Manager at Adrift. "Nightmare in Paradise allows us to showcase our creativity while maintaining the fun and immersive atmosphere that our guests love – just with a few more skeletons and considerably more fog."

Adrift’s talented bar team has curated an otherworldly menu of Creepy Cocktails that blend tropical flavors with Halloween fright. All Creepy Cocktails are $17.

  • Eye of the Beholder: Submitted for your approval, an Old Fashioned from the 5th Dimension. Rye Whiskey, Aged Rum, Donns Mix, and Herbstura. Tastes of both shadow and substance

  • Poison Apple: A tempting bite from the darkest orchard. Jamaican Rum, Apple Brandy, Blended Scotch, Madeira, Spiced Pear, Demerara, and Citrus. Sweet, sinister, and dangerously smooth. Your first sip – or your last bite

  • Bayou Blood: Brewed where spirits walk and shadows whisper. Haitian Rhums, Sage, Cognac, Benedictine, Acidified Grapefruit, Demerara, Absinthe, and Peychaud’s. Earthy, herbal, and spellbound. Sharp as a voodoo doll’s pin — beware what you summon

  • Frog’s Breath: A swampy spell in a glass. Puerto Rican Rum, Overproof Jamaican Rum, Green Herbal Liqueur, Pineapple, Basil, and Lime. Tropical, twisted, and herbaceous. Looks like poison, tastes like paradise

  • Trick-or-Chi Chi: What do you get when a jack-o’-lantern crashes a luau? Guyanese Rum, Amaro, Coconut, Acidified Pineapple, and Pumpkin Spice. Sweet, spiced, and maybe just a little mischievous

  • The Mourning Harvest: Wailing from the waters, her sorrow seeps into every sip. Mexican Whiskey, Mezcal, Green Chile, Elote, Lime, Agave, and Molé. A smoky, spicy lament — raise this ghostly chalice to La Llorona’s eternal mourning

Enjoy the following spooktacular punch bowls. Each punch bowl can serve two ($34) to four ($66) people.

  • Venom & Vice: Trader Vic’s iconic Scorpion Bowl. Lime, orange, orgeat, demerara, Holmes Cay Heritage rum, cognac, gin. Balanced and easy drinking but beware the Scorpion Stings!

  • Death Sentence: The jury’s verdict is unanimous. A fatal mix of lime, orange, maple, 10 yr armagnac, allspice, and bitters. Found guilty on all counts of tasting richly decadent

Non-Alcoholic but ever more terrifying:

  • Graveyard Grog ($14): Whispered through the tombstones, this grog awakens the senses. Lime, Grapefruit, Honey, Cinnamon, and The Pathfinder N/A Spirit. Bitter-sweet and hauntingly refreshing. Spirited in every sense but one

Spookiest Shots priced at $8:

  • The Curse: One shot to bind you — Overproof Jamaican Rum, Pineapple, Amaro, Lime, and Shiso

  • The Unknown: A surprise shot from the dark corners of the menu. A secret taste of the night. Allergies? Please alert us before you tempt fate
