A one-batch, direct-to-door-only release built on fresh cabbage, scallions, ginger, and garlic, with Gochugaru heat and toasted sesame umami—no dill, no pickle, no fermentation
DENVER (September 24, 2026)—The Real Dill, the producer behind hand-crafted cocktail mixes such as their award-winning Original Bloody Mary Mix, has announced the launch of Kimchi Bloody Mary Mix, a small batch, limited release built from the foundational ingredients of kimchi. Unlike The Real Dill's retail lineup, Kimchi Bloody Mary Mix retails for $16.99 and is available exclusively direct-to-consumer at therealdill.com, now.
Kimchi Bloody Mary Mix is hand-prepped from fresh cabbage, scallions, ginger, and garlic, then blended into a sharp, aromatic base. Authentic Gochugaru brings smoky-sweet heat, while toasted sesame layers in umami depth. The result is a bold, boundary-pushing pour with no dill and no pickle—a departure from the cucumber-forward profile The Real Dill is known for.
"Kimchi gets its character from fermentation and this mix gets it from the fresh ingredients themselves," says Tyler DuBois, Co-founder of The Real Dill. "Think of it as deconstructed kimchi: the same flavors, built fresh, so it's bright and aromatic rather than funky."
Co-founders Justin Park and Tyler DuBois launched The Real Dill in Denver in 2012, and the idea for a kimchi-based mix has been on their list for years. Park lived in Seoul and came home hooked on Korean cooking; DuBois trained as a chef with a habit of exploring new cuisines through the brand's mixes.
"A Bloody Mary built on ginger, garlic, and Gochugaru has been on our cutting board for years," says Park. "This is the year it finally made it into the jar. It's for the adventurous drinker who's ready for something outside our usual pickle-forward style."
True to The Real Dill's "Knife & Board" philosophy, Kimchi Bloody Mary Mix is made in-house using whole, fresh ingredients: no shortcuts, no fermentation, and no dried spice blends standing in for the real thing. Like all of the company's products, it's clean label, vegan, and gluten-free, with no preservatives, or artificial ingredients.
Because this is a limited, one-batch release rather than a permanent addition to the lineup, Kimchi Bloody Mary Mix will not be sold in stores. Once this batch sells out, it will not be restocked.
To serve: shake the jar well and mix three parts Kimchi Bloody Mary Mix to one part vodka or soju over plenty of ice. Rim the glass with The Real Dill's Bloody Mary Rimming Spice and garnish boldly with scallion, a cucumber spear, or a skewer of kimchi. It also makes a serious Michelada with a crisp Mexican or Korean lager.
