10 Years Adrift, 14 Years at Sea: Owner Loren Martinez marks a decade at the helm of Denver's tiki mainstay

DENVER (September 3, 2026)—Adrift Tiki Bar & Restaurant is throwing open its doors for the biggest party of the year: an anniversary celebration (218 S Broadway, Denver, CO 80209) marking 10 Years Adrift, 14 Years at Sea on Friday, September 18, 2026. The milestone honors two chapters of the same story—ten years since owner Loren Martinez took the helm, and 14 years since Adrift first set sail in Denver's South Broadway neighborhood.

“Ten years ago, I took over a bar that already had a story, and I knew I was stepping into something bigger than just owning a bar,” says Martinez. “Fourteen years in, what I love most about Adrift is that it still gives people a place to escape — to immerse themselves in another world, be curious, let go, and leave land-locked Denver behind for a few hours. That’s always been the magic of this place. This anniversary is our chance to celebrate that, and to say thank you to everyone who’s been part of keeping Adrift adrift.”

Guests can make reservations throughout this link for an evening built around a whole-hog pig roast and buffet, live music, and a lineup of Adrift's cocktails and mocktails—think the greatest hits. Every ticket includes an all-you-can-eat whole-hog pig roast buffet with Hawaiian-inspired sides and a welcome anniversary cocktail (non-alcoholic option available). Throughout the night, the Kalama Polynesian Dancers will pop up for surprise performances, and guests can take home limited-edition Anniversary Mai Tai glasses and T-shirts, available for purchase on-site.

"Here's to the next ten! If the last decade taught me anything, it's that Adrift will always keep evolving, but it'll always be a special place that people choose for every occasion,” says Martinez.

Tickets are $49 per person and available at OpenTable.
